    OUR VISION

The vision of Career Institute North is to provide all students with access to the competitive workforce.

    OUR MISSION

The mission of Career Institute North is to provide Dallas ISD high school students with technical opportunities to obtain industry certifications, experience, and leadership skills for high-demand career fields.

The Aviation Flight pathway began enrolling students in the Fall of 2020. This pathway is designed to meet the needs of students interested in pursuing careers in aerospace, aviation, air traffic control, and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) operators or electro-mechanical technicians. There is a significant need in this industry, as many pilots and air traffic controllers are retiring without qualified replacements in the pipeline.

The Electrical and Solar Technology pathway introduces students to the basic principles of electricity and proceeds to the concepts of solid-state components such as diodes, transistors, integrated circuits, and microprocessor systems, according to the National Electrical Code. Courses simulate actual working conditions in fully equipped laboratories where students put electrical-electronics theory into practice. Along with laboratory experiences setting up circuits, troubleshooting, and calibrating systems, computer-simulated circuit analysis is used in many of the courses.
