Dear Raul Quintanilla Sr Middle School STEAM Academy Families,

As the start of school nears, we are eager to welcome your child(ren) to Raul Quintanilla Sr Middle School STEAM Academy for the 2021 - 2022 school year!  

Although we are met with a number of uncertainties, one thing that we can definitively say is that we will begin the school year strong...whether we begin remotely or face-to-face.  Our team of faculty and staff members have been proactive in ensuring that our students are safe and receive high quality instruction.  As such, precautionary measures and procedures have been outlined in our COVID-19 (Virtual Learning) Handbook.

With our students’ safety in mind, the District has provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that will be installed throughout our common areas.  In addition, the custodial staff has worked diligently throughout the summer to prepare the building for your children’s eventual return by extensively cleaning and disinfecting the entire building.

Enrollment/Registration

Due to the COVID-19 virus, Quintanilla Middle School's enrollment process has changed. The enrollment process will be primarily electronic, with the exception of iPad distribution. You can start the process by clicking on this link: https://sites.google.com/dallasisd.org/qmsattendance/home (You will need a valid email address)

Once the application and the documents have been submitted, you will receive an email from Ms. Gonzalez with your student's ID number and important school information. To keep you informed, I will send out a monthly newsletter via email with campus updates and celebrations.  I look forward to meeting each of you in helping to develop our Shining Stars!
