I am Danielle Knighten, the AVID Elective teacher. I believe in encouraging students to be their best by modeling compassion, trustworthiness, and respect through engaging activities. As an educator of 25 plus years, I now have the opportunity to expose students not only to strategies fortheir academics, but also successful life skills. I lead the classroom into a warm, nonthreating culture of learning and excitement. We become a family though AVID. My educational belief is that :students don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care. I care about students having great opportunities to be great.
