Linda Gossett

Ceramics / AP 3D Design

Native Texan Linda Gossett is a professional artist working in ceramics since the 1990s. Linda’s career spans from creating commissions for private and corporate clients to creating her own work for art fairs, galleries and museums.
After years of working in her field, Linda chose to continue her education by accepting a full scholarship and spent three years at the University of Dallas acquiring her M.A. and M.F.A. in Studio Ceramics. This personal journey was a time of complete immersion into academics and unrestricted creative exploration. Fresh with the acquisition of these degrees Linda is excited to be focusing on her passion for teaching. Recent positions in education include teaching for Dallas College and Collin College and Linda continues instructing adult ceramics classes at the Creative Art Center of Dallas.

About her own creative process Linda says, “Making art for me is part play, part extreme control. The visual language of memories, like dreams, is a compilation of snippets; a recollection of imagery, ideas, emotions, and sensations that sometimes surface out of order. I offer my art as a springboard for the imagination.”
Ms. Gossett’s enthusiasm is surpassed only by her vast experience and knowledge which she happily brings to the students of Booker T. Washington HSPVA.
