ATTENDANCE POLICY
All students were asked to complete the Contact Survey to ensure we have the most current contact information for our students and their families. During this time of Online Learning, it is imperative that we are able to make contact with students due to the attendance policies of the state. Your child must be engaged in the instructional process 90% of the time to remain in good standing. Remember non-contact during online learning could result in administrative removal from college courses or administrative action for those just taking high school courses. Poor attendance will result in denial of course credits.

Workplace Learning REMIND
Workplace Learning is a vital part of our program. Students choose a career pathway to pursue during their four years at Sunset P-TECH ECHS. We currently have three career pathways: Teacher Education, Public Health and Criminal Justice. We have six industry partners who help to support your students in their career pathway choices. Baylor Scott and White, Children's Health and Dallas County Health and Human Services actively support the Public Health Pathway. Dallas ISD Human Capital Management and Early Learning support the Teacher Education pathway. And the Dallas Police Department supports Criminal Justice. Though we have six industry partners, we also have a host of engagement partners to ensure students experience maximum exposure. During the students' four years, through Workplace Learning engagements, students build resumes, meet professionals in the field, have opportunities to gain hands-on experience through job shadowing and internships. Students are given the opportunity to gain industry skills by acquiring certifications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. As the Workplace Learning Coordinator, I want to keep students abreast of all opportunities through the Workplace Learning REMIND. This is a separate REMIND from the main REMIND accounts established by Mr. Spencer. My REMIND will be focused on Workplace Learning requirements for this program.
