Jasmine “Dr. Jae” Ervins, Ed.D.
Dr. Jae is an Educator who will tell anyone that she is “forever a teacher and forever a student”. She loves learning and academic stimulation. If she had it her way, she would always be in school learning new things. Since this is not possible, she enjoys reading and learning about as many different things as she can. Upon entering the education arena in 2005, she entered just for a jump start position while working to become a Nurse of Anesthesia. But, after that first year, it became her life’s mission. Education is the passion and lifeblood for Dr. Jae; it is easily recognizable once she starts to speak about it.
She attended the University of Arkansas (Razorbacks) and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance, Commercial Banking, and Human Resources. It was here that she became a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She went on to attend the University of Texas at Arlington where she earned a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction while teaching Math and History to middle school students, and Integrated Reading and Writing to college students. The avid learner in her did not stop there. She continued her studies at Texas A&M University-Commerce and earned a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership. Teaching and learning is a walk that Dr. Jae takes pleasure in taking daily.
