    Hello!
     
    Thank you for your interest in Academy Theatre. My name is Erika Roberts, and this is my second year serving as the Academy Theatre director here at WE Greiner. I moved here in August 2020 with my family from St. Louis, Missouri where I performed with children's theatres, museums, and Shakespeare theatre companies for four years since graduating college. I hold an undergraduate degree from Missouri State University in Speech and Theatre Education and am currently pursuing my Master of Education in Teaching and Learning with Concordia University Wisconsin. 
     
    Academy Theatre (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) introduces students to the skills, procedures, terminology, methods of practice, design techniques, and etiquette required to understand theatre arts. The coursework builds upon those foundations to cultivate effective, well-rounded theatre artists and promotes personal and academic growth.
     
    Students will have opportunities to perform in full length plays and musicals, student-directed projects, and district-wide competitions.  Whether in class or on the big stage, we will explore what it means to be a theatre artist!
