• Dallas ISD Black Men and Latino Residency

    Dallas ISD aims to increase the presence of black male educators into the classroom. For this, we are pleased to announce the implementation of the second cohort for the Dallas ISD Black Men Residency Program. Human Capital Management in partnership with School Leadership, Teaching and Learning, and Racial Equity Office, look forward to continue the Residency model designed to improve student outcomes. The Dallas ISD Teacher Residency Program will allow for our African-American students to have access to effective and diverse teachers that match their ethnic background creating an education system that is equitable across our classrooms.

    Minimum Requirements

    The following criteria and qualifications are needed to be considered for screening:

    • Bachelor's Degree in any field
    • Grade Point Average of 2.5 or higher 
    • Highly committed with a passion to help scholars succeed
