      Durand

    Instructor - Mr. Paul Durand

    pdurand@dallasisd.org

My name is Paul Durand, Jr, and I serve as the Lead Teacher for the Criminal Justice Academy.   I have a passion for criminal justice and a strong desire to empower our youth to seek careers in this field.  I am also a strong believer in mindset, gratitude, and hard work.  I have many mottos I live by, but one that I always share is, "talent is overrated."  As we progress through life, we will be around many talented people, often in the same room as us.  What sets you apart is not the talent, but a positive mindset, gratitude, and hard work. Before becoming an educator, I served as a Law Enforcement Officer in North Texas. I graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology.  I have four kids and a lovely wife!
