PROCEDURE FOR STUDENT ENTRY TO CAMPUS
METAL DETECTOR PROCEDURES
When preparing to enter the campus upon arrival in the morning, students will follow this protocol:
- Use the socially distanced decals on campus sidewalks/entryways to line up
- Have ID badges on and clearly visible
- Students' temperature will be checked as they wait to pass through security checkpoints
- If a student exhibits a temperature higher than 100.3, the student will be escorted to the nurse for further evaluation
- Depending upon the entrance, students will either pass through a metal detector or will be wanded by campus personnel
- Metal Dector Protocol
- Students place cell phones, keys, and other accessories into their bags or purses (pockets should be emptied before the security check)
- Bookbags and purses (opened for inspection) will be placed on the table and visually checked by campus staff
- Large items such as band instruments will be visually inspected on the table by campus staff
- Security Wand Protocol

- Students will proceed to class utilizing the floor decals to remain socially distanced in the hallway
