• Student & Family Resource Centers

In the fall of 2020, the Dallas ISD launched a strategic initiative to establish a Student and Family Resource Center in four of our high school feeder patterns: Lincoln, H. Grady Spruce, L.G. Pinkston, and Franklin D. Roosevelt. The goal is for each center to house a variety of social services designed to better the lives of area residents and improve the academic achievement of students.

Plans are underway to build these centers with funds from the $3.7 billion bond package passed by voters in November of 2020. While the use of bond funds is limited to the construction and renovation of the center locations, Dallas ISD is working with residents in each of the four communities to identify organizations and programs that will provide the support services within these centers.

To help advance this initiative, the Dallas ISD Racial Equity Office is creating community advisory councils to work with district staff to develop these centers. The advisory councils meet bimonthly wo help inform the work and development of these centers.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact racialequity@dallasisd.org.
