Pandemic Support
While Dallas ISD is using several key strategies starting this summer to address unfinished learning, the district this school year also made strategic adjustments to give teachers more time back for planning and instruction.
These adjustments for the 2020–2021 school year include:
- Removing some assessments throughout the calendar to give teachers and students more instruction time;
- Invested nearly $5.5 million in digital learning tools to support both on-campus and at-home learners;
- Launching Operation Comeback to help students get back on track to continue their education;
- Limiting certain meeting requirements and obligations for teachers so they have more time to plan for instruction.
