Dallas ISD offers Pre-K at many elementary schools and partner sites.

3-Year-Old Pre-K (Pre-K 3)
Eligible students that are 3 years old on or before September 1 may attend Pre-K 3 at one of many Dallas ISD elementary schools. Pre-K 3 programs are full-day, but a few select schools offer half-day Pre-K 3.
The half-day Pre-K 3 program has classes both in the morning (7:45 to 11:15 a.m.) and in the afternoon (11:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.). Lunch is provided for both classes. Students in the half-day program may attend either the morning or afternoon session based on available space.
The full-day Pre-K 3 program is from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

4-Year-Old Pre-K (Pre-K 4)
Eligible students that are 4 years old on or before September 1 may attend Pre-K 4 at one of many Dallas ISD elementary schools.
Pre-K 4 programs are full-day, from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. The following schools begin at 8:20 a.m. and end at 3:55 p.m.: Dealey Montessori, Harry Stone Montessori, Solar Prep Girls, and Solar Prep Boys.

Pre-K Partnership Center (Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4)
A partnership site is a quality child care facility that has partnered with Dallas ISD to provide high quality education to your youngest scholars. Each participating classroom has a Dallas ISD certified teacher and the student is dually-enrolled with Dallas ISD.

Pre-K Tuition Program (Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4)
Students who don’t meet eligibility for free Pre-K or for the Pre-K Scholarship can enroll in tuition-based Pre-K at select schools.
Students must be 3 years old or 4 years old on or before September 1st.
2024-2025
Tuition students attend half-day Pre-K 3 or full-day Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4
The tuition rate for a half-day is $2,500 and for a full-day is $5,000 for the 2024-2025 school year. Payment plan options are available. Deposits and additional fees may apply.
Dallas ISD offers Tuition at all participating Pre-K schools.
Tuition students may register in “round 1”, which begins on April 1st, but will not be approved until “round 2”, which begins on May 1st.
Tuition students will be approved only if there is space available after students who qualify for free Pre-K have been approved.

Pre-K Choice Programs (Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4)
Choice Schools are designed around an innovative model such as Performing and Visual Arts, Montessori, Personalized Learning, Single Gender or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
Pre-K Choice Schools include Transformation and Magnet schools.
