Step 1 Parents will need to collect the required documents, and scan or take a picture of them before beginning the online registration.

Step 2 Parents will complete and submit the online Pre-K Registration.

Step 3 District staff will review the submitted registration and will determine eligibility for Pre-K.

Step 4 District staff will notify parents of the status of their registration.

Required documents you will need for registration

Child’s birth certificate
Acceptable documents include official birth certificate, adoption record, hospital birth record, baptism record, passport or other legal document that establishes student’s age and identity.

Picture ID of the child’s parent or guardian
Acceptable documents include driver’s license, state or international ID, and passport.

Proof of address
Acceptable documents include current gas, water, or electricity bill or lease agreement/mortgage.

Child’s current immunization record
Any document will be acceptable provided a physician or public health personnel has validated it. Validation includes a signature, initials, or stamp. An immunization record generated from an electronic health record must include clinic contact information and the provider’s signature/stamp, along with the vaccine name and vaccination date. An official record received from school officials, including a record from another state is acceptable

Child’s social security card
This is optional.

Required documents to determine Pre-K eligibility (submit all that apply)

Proof of income for all working members of the household
Acceptable documents include most recent pay stub, unemployment payment, worker’s compensation or disability payment, or signed statement of no income.

Documentation of SNAP, TANF or Medicaid benefits
Acceptable documents include the benefits approval letter from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission or a screenshot from the Your Texas Benefits website or app. The document must include the student's name, case number and effective start/end dates.
SNAP or Medicaid cards and/or renewal notices are not accepted.

Documentation of foster care
Acceptable documents include CPS or court papers indicating conservatorship or foster placement.

Documentation of military service
Acceptable documents include a statement of service or an official letter from a commander.
