PLAY
  • The P.L.A.Y. initiative is a voluntary, after-school learning-based sports and activities program, available to all students in grades 4-6, regardless of athletic ability. Each semester consists of four PLAY periods and includes the sports of baseball, softball, basketball, flag football and outdoor soccer, as well as non-traditional sports such as lacrosse, pickleball, field hockey, and futsal.

The P.L.A.Y. initiative serves as a pathway for active kids to tap into their cultural capital and participate in meaningful ways that connect knowledge from classroom discussions to sports and movement activities. The P.L.A.Y. initiative de-emphasizes competition and focuses on giving any interested student the chance to play sports and have fun while doing it.
