Virtual Field Trips at the STEM Environmental Education Center
During the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 school years the STEM Environmental Education Center provided virtual field trips for PK-12 students. Each virtual field trip is now available on demand and lasts about 45 minutes. During these field trips, experienced teachers and naturalists provide students with opportunities to virtually explore prairie, forest, and freshwater ecosystems, study fossils, visit a working barn with a variety of livestock, meet live mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and fish, tour gardens, and more! Virtual field trips at the center are free, fully aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Science, and connect science with Social and Emotional Learning as well as mental and physical wellness.
The links below take you to the guides to the virtual field trips. To view a trip for either school year, use the Table of Contents to go to the grade level you want, find the virtual field trip you want, and click Watch On Demand. There are also field trip questions guides (if we made them - we did not make them for all trips) for teachers and students to use. Enjoy!
