Pedro Rodriguez
Central Athletic Trainer

Pedro Rodriguez is in his eighth year with Dallas ISD and joined the central athletic training staff at the Jesse Owens Athletic Complex to start this year after serving as the campus athletic trainer at Skyline since 2019. His first job in Dallas ISD was at H. Grady Spruce High School from 2014-2018.

Born and raised in Texas, Rodriguez graduated from Tarleton State University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science. He then went on to complete his master's degree in 2011 in kinesiology with an emphasis in sports medicine.

Prior to Dallas ISD, Rodriguez began his professional career at Tarleton State, where he served as a head athletic trainer from 2010-2014. His primary responsibilities were men’s and women's basketball, cheerleading, and volleyball. He is very proud to have been a part of numerous conference championships during his tenure.

Throughout his career, Rodriguez has been blessed with wonderful opportunities to work with organizations such as the National Basketball Association, the Texas Rangers, the University of Texas Golf Club, Pylon Sports, Kinetix Sports and Fitness, as well as several elite volleyball and select club soccer organizations in the DFW area.

Rodriguez enjoys giving back and mentoring young people and encouraging them to be successful. He and his wife Jenny married in 2016 and have two beautiful daughters, Sophia and Olivia.
