 Teacher Survey

The applicant's current teacher will complete a survey rating students' academic achievement, potential and behavior.

On Site Assessment 

Applicants listen to a series of Montessori stories. They answer comprehension questions, then they have a writing task related to the stories. The writing is evaluated for capitalization, punctuation, spelling and content. For second grade, there is also an option to draw a picture. 

Group Dynamics

Applicants will work in small groups to complete a task. Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to collaborate, take turns and communicate with the other applicants. 

Observation

Applicants are observed doing a group task and receiving a Montessori lesson. The Observation rubric scores cooperation, following directions, working without disturbing others, self control and separating from adults.
