ACCESS YOUR STUDENTS' STAAR RESULTS!

  • There are five STAAR Exams your son/daughter must pass to graduate from high school.

Here is how you can see their progress on these tests.

Students are typically first scheduled for three of the five STAAR exams in their 9th grade year.  Specifically, these three STAAR exams are:

    1. Biology

    2. English 1

    3. Algebra 1

Students are typically first scheduled for the fourth STAAR exam in their 10th grade year.  Specifically, that test is:

    4. English 2

Students are typically first scheduled for the fifth STAAR exam in their 11th grade year.  Specifically, that test is:

    5. United States History

    —-------------------------------------------------------

Scores for each of these tests will be reported as one of the following:

              • Masters
              • Meets
              • Approaches
              • Not Met

Once a student earns any one of the first three (Masters, Meets, or Approaches) they have passed that exam and will not need to take it again.

If a student’s test result is “Not Met” or if the student was absent, they will be required to retake/makeup the exam the next time it is administered.  All Texas public schools administer the STAAR Tests three times a year: December, April/May, and June.  Students will be scheduled to retake/makeup the exam each administration thereafter until a score of Masters, Meets, or Approaches is earned.
