  • Madeline Nayfa joins the Herbert Marcus family as the Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) campus instructional coach as she enters her 5th year in education. During her journey in education, Ms. Nayfa has found her passion for instilling the belief in others that they can do anything they set their mind to.

Ms. Nayfa is a proud DISD alum having graduating from Irma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School. She began her teaching career in 2016 through an Alternative Certification program and began as an elementary teacher in DISD. She has had the opportunity to teach Math, Science, Literacy, and Social Studies.

While at Marcus, Ms. Nayfa has served as part of the Leader In Me Lighthouse committee, assisted in the inaugural years of the House System as the Vezetes House Leader, and was part of the team that applied for and won the OTI "School of Choice" distinction in Leadership Innovation.

Upon finding her passion for STEM, Ms. Nayfa has been selected to be part of several district focus groups and assisted on content and pacing planning in elementary math. In addition, she was part of a DISD and KERA partnership in 2020 where she created 15 videos on mathematics which were aired on television and were provided to teachers across the district.

During the 2020-2021 school year, Ms. Nayfa was recognized as the Campus Teacher of the Year. Shortly after, Ms. Nayfa continued to pursue professional growth as she became the STEM Coach in January 2021.

Ms. Nayfa strives to continue to grow professionally and has had many opportunities along the way including being trained at Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Kagan Cooperative learning in Florida, and several other professional developments aimed to incorporate student engagement, high rigor, and impactful teaching.

Ms. Nayfa’s mission as a Campus Instructional Coach is to instill the belief in teachers that they and their students can be champions. As the STEM Coach, a simple equation to follow is: successful teachers = successful students. Her purpose is to guide teachers in becoming the most successful and unique version of themselves.
