  • My name is Gisela Velazquez and I was born in Guerrero, Mexico. I came to the United States when I was 9 years old. I have 5 siblings and I am the middle child. I am family oriented and enjoy spending time with my two boys who also attend DISD schools.

    My favorite part of my day is taking long walks in the park. I truly enjoy the scenery, and love seeing the different types of large trees. I have one dog and always make sure to let her tag along.

    I am bilingual. I graduated from R.L. Turner High School. I then went on to attend Brookhaven Community College where my goal is to become an elementary school teacher.

    This year I will have the opportunity to work at Herbert Marcus as a Community Liaison, I am looking forward to working with the families of this community.
