It is our campus’ creative way to showcase our young Hawk Authors WOW writing work! Scholars utilize their in classroom instructional knowledge to hone their writing skills on topics of the week! Students get the opportunity to think outside the box, draft their thinking and create writing samples with their own voice. Writers of the week are selected, using our campus writing rubric, to be authors of the week for the school.

• All grade levels participate from PreK3 to 2nd grade!
• All writing samples represent the level of the scholar's writing and gradual improvements are shown every week!
• All scholars have an opportunity to be The Young Hawk Author of the week!
