Texas Scholars
The Texas Scholars program recognizes outstanding Dallas ISD students who have achieved academic success and completed community service.
To become a Texas Scholar, a student must:
- Complete the Foundation High School Program with Distinguished Level Achievement, that includes Foundation High School Program requirements, and the following:
- A total of four credits in math, including Algebra II;
- A total of four credits in science; and
- Successful completion of an endorsement
- Be classified in the Top 10 percent of their class in their junior year, and maintain Top 10 percent standing throughout their senior year
- Complete a minimum of 30 hours of community service by May 10th of their graduating year
