Hello! My Name is Pamela Pena and I am thrilled to be joining Hexter Elementary as a Garden Teacher Assistant this school year.

I started my journey in the Hexter community seven years ago. My children were new to Hexter & Dallas ISD. As a family, we loved volunteering in the Hexter Garden to better connect with the community and nature here in this East Dallas neighborhood.

When I’m not at Hexter volunteering in some capacity, I love being with my family, trying new foods, hearing live music, and camping outdoors all over Texas.

I aspire to provide hands-on learning to Hexter students in our one- of-a-kind garden to better support strong bodies, hearts and minds.
