Hello. My name is Carolyn Hamilton. I am happy to be a part of the Hexter Community for the 2^nd year as a 2^nd grade teacher. 

I have been with the district for 5 years.  I was a substitute for two years and have been teaching for three years. You can say that I am a novice teacher who loves growing little minds. I have one grandson who is a Dallas ISD high school student.

In my spare time, I listen to music and sing.  I am a grandmother of five boys and love spending time with them. They motivate me to keep going. I am from the south, so if you see me coming and I smile and speak, don’t think me weird. I was raised to be cordial and speak to people when I pass them. 

I am excited to help shape another set of minds as I prepare them to take on future tasks that will come their way.  Go Hawks!!!
