My name is José Karam and I am the fourth and fifth grade bilingual teacher. This will be my third year here at Hexter and sixth year teaching overall.  

I am proudly from Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. I came to Dallas when I was ten years old and finished my education here in Dallas ISD, attending Travis TAG and Townview High School, finally obtaining my bachelor's from the University of North Texas at Dallas.  

I'm very passionate about sports. If I'm not playing them, I'm watching them. As we get ready for the world cup this year, you might hear your child talk about it a lot the closer it gets to start. 

I look forward to being a part of your child's academic journey this year. In our classroom we will foster a positive environment for your scholar to grow through cooperation, agency, growth, and more.

Mi nombre es José Karam y seré el maestro bilingüe de cuarto y quinto grado. Este será mi tercer año aquí en Hexter y mi sexto año como maestro en general.  

Soy orgullosamente de Monterrey, Nuevo León. Me mudé a Dallas cuando tenía diez años y terminé mi educación aquí mismo. Atendí Travis TAG y la preparatoria Townview; conseguí mi título de la universidad del Norte de Texas en Dallas.  

Poseo un afán por los deportes. Si no puedo practicar el deporte, por lo menos lo veo por la televisión. Tomando en cuenta que el mundial será este año, posiblemente escucharán a su hijo(a) hablar del mismo mientras se acerque la fecha. 

Estoy muy emocionado por ser parte del crecimiento académico de su hijo(a). En nuestro salón vamos a fomentar un ambiente de cooperación, crecimiento, autorresponsabilidad y muchos valores más.
