    • Mr. Florie, a native of Louisiana, moved to Dallas after he finished his studies at LSU where he majored in Secondary Math Education. Growing up, he always knew that he was going to be an educator and he chose Dallas ISD to start his teaching career. After serving 9 years as a classroom teacher in two schools with Dallas ISD, he was promoted to be an Academic Facilitator. He supported the entire feeder pattern for three years and came to serve in Benjamin Franklin Middle School as a Campus Instructional Coach.

      Mr. Florie continued his professional growth and graduated from University of Texas at Dallas with a masters degree in Secondary Math Education and obtained his leadership certificate from Lamar University. Six years ago, he joined Hillcrest High School as an assistant principal where he was instrumental in increasing enrollment by over 400 students, increased student achievement and improved campus climate and culture by building relationships both with teachers and students.

      Mr. Florie has been instrumental in creating an effective and robust master schedule to ensure all students have equitable opportunity for success. Hillcrest has one of the most complex master schedules in Dallas ISD, and Mr. Florie has been leading the effort of building and maintaining it. Mr. Florie has built good relationships with the community and has increased community engagement. Mr. Florie, a team player and devoted educator, will be an effective leader for Hillcrest High School and the community.
