Dallas ISD is proud of the reduction in total solid waste contributions to landfills since 2016-2017. From 2016 to 2022 the school district has seen a 52% decrease in landfill contributions and a slight increase in non-organic waste diversion (recycle). All Dallas ISD facilities have total collection point containers (dumpsters) for recycling. If you find that your building is in need of small classroom or hallway-sized recycling receptacles, please speak to your lead custodian. Lead custodians can request recycling materials from their supervisors and provide technical assistance with your recycling program.
