-
How are my years of service to Dallas ISD calculated?
Dallas ISD will use the employee's total ‘Years in DISD’ as calculated by Oracle and credit the current year (2022-2023).
Employees must be listed as “Active” in Oracle when the reports are retrieved to receive a pin.
Employees will have the opportunity to verify their years of service online. Employees should contact the Onboarding & Retention team using the proposed correction form no later than March 31 if they believe there is an error with their service record.
The employees’ years of service in Dallas ISD calculated for the Service Award Program are not compared to any salary increment purposes within TEA or with years of employment for (TRS) retirement purposes. This Service Award Program only recognizes years of service to Dallas ISD and does not reflect employment outside the District.
*The Service Award Program does not include time worked as a temporary worker, contractor, or substitute. Part-time team members' hours may not be included if they worked under twenty (20) hours each week. Former Dallas County Schools employees’ years of service will not be included in this program.
