Throughout the school year, students enter friendly academic competition during the Dallas ISD / University Interscholastic League (UIL) Elementary student activities. Our RAMS have the opportunity and proudly participate in the following competitions offered: Listening Skills, Storytelling, Creative Writing, Ready Writing, Spelling, Dictionary Skills, Social Studies, Chess Puzzles, Robotics, Number Sense, and Maps, Graphs & Charts.
For our students that like to “check” off all their options, our Chess Club has competed and placed in numerous online and in-person tournaments over the last few years. We will soon have chess for some of our younger students as well. Check you later!
Our Robotics students are in 3rd-5th grade and compete at all district level competitions. They work collaboratively to build and use robots. From simple machines, LEGO robots, and beyond, these students enjoy learning the technology and engineering parts of our S”TE”AM Academy!
For our older Rams, these students learn the basics of typing that will assist in their coding and homework lessons, and beyond!
Through the Little Sponges program, we offer an opportunity to expand language acquisition to support our dual language learners and enrichment groups. Songs, games, videos, activities, and more are used to inspire new language learning. To learn more about the curriculum, visit www.little-sponges.com.
