Summer Learning

Summer is an exciting time filled with fun and exploration. During the summer, Dallas ISD provides a comprehensive set of offerings to students, allowing them time to connect with their peers, engage in rigorous tasks, accelerate learning, and improve their social and emotional well-being. Summer Breeze programming options for students emphasize acceleration, legislative mandates, enrichment, and college and career preparation. For two months, the district provides students with opportunities to discover the excitement of summer learning. During the month of June, students attend district-created summer learning programs at designated campuses. In July, district partners provide enrichment activities for students.

We know students engage and perform better in academic settings when their holistic physical and emotional needs are met. Summer Breeze is designed to address those needs, prepare students for future learning opportunities, and energize students for the upcoming school year.
