    • It’s a fact that healthy children learn better – and that’s why Dallas ISD provides students comprehensive health care services at little or no cost to families. From physical and mental health care to refugee and homeless support services, Dallas ISD is committed to meeting the needs of the whole child. A selection of clinic locations across the district provides families access to health and wellness services in nearby schools or neighborhoods. In response to the needs of our large and diverse student population, we are proud to offer many services not readily available in other area school districts. We believe parents will find a wealth of services in Dallas ISD, and we encourage students and families to take full advantage of all that we have to offer!

Through advocacy, disease prevention, health promotion, and removing health barriers to learning, the department of Health Services advances the well-being, academic success and lifelong achievement of students.

Health Services supports and advocates for optimal student health in a district seeking to be a premier urban district.
    • The policies and procedures adopted to promote the physical health resources available at each campus are reviewed on an annual basis by the Health Services department. Please reach out to the school nurse on your child’s campus for more information about physical health resources available for the 2023-2024 school year.

    • A full-time nurse is allocated to every campus to promote health and academic success.
