Ms. Laura Couto
After graduating from Texas State Technical College, Ms. Laura Couto began her early career as a counselor working with adolescents and adults. Ms. Couto loved working with groups and teaching in that field! After she received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas at Dallas, she began teaching Art at Skyline High School. Art has always been a tremendous passion for her, and she regularly practices illustration and painting. The opportunity to combine her love of teaching and artistic expression proved to be very rewarding. Now, she is excited to be teaching the Talented and Gifted program at the Chapel Hill Preparatory School and Tom C. Gooch Elementary School. Her hobbies include upcycling aging furniture and taking care of an ever-increasing number of houseplants. Ms. Couto is also a licensed esthetician!
