    The essay is an expository essay based on prompts inspired by 8th grade STAAR Writing prompts. 

    The rubric is based on the 8th grade STAAR writing rubric.  

     

    Student Interview (Up to 25 points possible)

    The interview is a series of questions seeking to identify academically oriented, focused, driven and thoughtful students.

    The questions attempt to connect us with students that have potential and compatibility with our model.
