Dallas ISD's Food and Child Nutrition Services is proud to announce that we have been honored with the prestigious Pear-fection Award!

This award recognizes our district’s exceptional efforts in implementing the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) to create a lasting impact on our students’ health and well-being.

    Pear-fection Award

The Pear-fection Award recognizes schools that take extra steps to ensure the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program has a lasting impact for students. These schools meet the award’s criteria for frequency, quantity, and variety in the serving of fruits and vegetables purchased with the program’s grant funds. They also expend most of the funds awarded and include Texas grown products and nutrition education in their programs. Pear-fection award recipients have demonstrated a commitment to promoting fruit and vegetable consumption and healthy lifestyles.

The Pear-fection Award is a testament to Dallas ISD’s Food and Child Nutrition Services dedication to enhancing the health and nutrition of our students. We are proud to be recognized for our efforts and will continue to strive for excellence in providing nutritious meals and education to our students.

Thank you to all the staff, students, and community members who have contributed to this achievement. Together, we are making a difference!
