To be the premier theatre department among high schools in the United States and to serve as a national model for excellence in teaching, learning and professional experience in theatre and the arts.
The Theatre Department has between 250-270 students. The students take three Theatre classes per semester. We offer classes in acting, mime, play writing, design, construction, management and directing. Students are encouraged to take classes in as many of the different areas as possible. It is the goal of the department for the students to discover and nurture their talents in all areas of the program. We offer a generalist program and then offer enough classes in each area so that students can advance from the beginning to the advanced stage.
