El programa de estudio de Ciberseguridad está diseñado para preparar a los estudiantes para el creciente campo de la ciberseguridad y la informática. La ciberseguridad es la protección de los sistemas conectados a internet, incluidos los componentes de la computadora, los programas y los datos contra ataques maliciosos.
Previamente relacionada solo con agencias gubernamentales y contratistas de defensa, la ciberseguridad ahora ha entrado en el mercado laboral general. The Cybersecurity program of study is designed to prepare students for the growing field of cybersecurity and computer science. Cybersecurity is the protection of internet-connected systems, including hardware, software and data from malicious attacks. Once a specialty only associated with government agencies and defense contractors, cybersecurity has now entered the mainstream. Industries such as health care, finance, manufacturing and retail all hire cybersecurity professionals. Cybersecurity courses include: The Practicum in Cybersecurity is designed to give students supervised practical application of knowledge and skills. Practicum experiences can occur as internships, mentorships, independent study or laboratories. The practicum can be either school-lab-based or work-based. Students will be provided opportunities to obtain four certifications, one per course. The Cybersecurity program of study is currently available and open for enrollment at Career Institute East, Career Institute North and Career Institute South.
