Patient Care

Patient Care

[Health Science Cluster]

The Healthcare Therapeutic program of study introduces students to occupations and educational opportunities related to diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic illness independently or as part of a healthcare team. While pursuing a career in the health science industry, students will learn to reason, think critically, make decisions, solve problems, communicate effectively, and work well with others.

The practicum courses are designed to give students supervised practical application of knowledge and skills. Practicum experiences can occur as internships, mentorships, independent study, or laboratories. The practicum can either be school-lab-based or work-based. Students will be provided opportunities to obtain up to four certifications.
