Gordon Booker

Gordon Booker enters his third year as a high school head coach and his second season as athletic coordinator and head football coach at Seagoville High School. He was hired in May 2024 after serving as defensive coordinator at North Forney High School.

Booker has compiled a 9-13 record at Seagoville as a head coach. In 2025, he guided the Dragons to a 5-6 overall record and a 4-3 district mark, earning a tie for fourth place in District 5-5A Division II and a bi-district playoff appearance. Seagoville’s most recent playoff berth came in 2025.

Before Seagoville, Booker served as defensive coordinator at North Forney from 2022-2023, helping lead the Falcons’ improvement from a 3-7 record to a 9-3 finish and a bi-district playoff victory. His defense ranked first in District 10-6A and among the top defensive units in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Before North Forney, Booker was the defensive coordinator at David W. Carter High School from 2020-2022. He also coached at Lancaster High School from 2018-2020, Mesquite High School from 2017-2018, and Longview High School from 2013-2017.

A 2007 graduate of Longview High School, Booker was an all-state offensive lineman, a two-time all-district selection, and an all-East Texas honoree. He continued his playing career at Stephen F. Austin State University, where he was a four-year letterman and earned All-Southland Conference honors.

Booker earned a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2012 and a Master of Education degree in sports administration from Concordia University Texas in 2019.

He and his wife, Shelby, have two daughters, Kayla and Kennedy.
