Francis Anaya is in her first year as the assistant director of athletics for business operations After serving as an administrative assistant in the department for three years, she was promoted to her current role in February 2026.
Anaya oversees all business and operational functions for the athletics department, expanding into strategic analysis, budget reporting, and staff supervision. She manages equipment procurement, oversees payment of coaches’ stipends and game personnel, maintains districtwide staffing and expenditure records, and provides guidance on district and UIL policies. She also analyzes procedures to improve efficiency, monitors industry developments, and assists in hiring, training, and supervising department staff.
A 12-year employee with the district, she has extensive experience in procurement and financial administration. Anaya has supported management of the department’s budget, coordinated purchasing and payments, and oversaw payroll accounts for game officials. She also assisted senior leadership, including the assistant superintendent and assistant athletic directors, while maintaining organized project files for district audits.
Before joining the athletics department, Anaya worked as a buyer and procurement specialist for Dallas ISD from 2014-2022. In that role, she prepared and reviewed requests for proposals for educational materials and services, ensured vendor compliance with district and state requirements, analyzed bid data, and supported the processing of major contracts.
Anaya earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from East Texas A&M University in December 2025 and was named to the scholars list in May 2025 for maintaining a 4.0 GPA. She holds the Certified Texas School Business Specialist designation from the Texas Association of School Business Officials.
She and her husband Marcus live in Seagoville with their three daughters, Loraine, Larissa, and Lilly.
