Brian Welch

Qualifications: LAT
Brian Welch has been with the Dallas Independent School District since 2003 and serves as a Head Athletic Trainer stationed at the Forester Athletic Complex.
He is responsible for overseeing the campus athletic training programs at Skyline, Woodrow Wilson, Bryan Adams, Spruce, Samuell, North Dallas, Pinkston, WT White, Hillcrest, Thomas Jefferson and Conrad high schools as well as the central staff athletic trainers at Alfred J. Loos and Forester Athletic Complexes. Brian also provides medical needs for the student athletes at the 16 middle schools in his area.
Brian Welch graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin State University majoring in Kinesiology, Health and Biology with an internship in athletic training. He became a licensed athletic trainer in 2000 and began his career in the clinical outreach setting here in Dallas covering Dallas ISD athletes on a part-time basis. Welch became a full-time member of the Dallas ISD Sports Medicine Staff in 2003. He has had the privilege of working with many outstanding athletes, coaches, administrators and has had the honor of serving as the athletic trainer for Justin F. Kimball High School’s four consecutive boys’ basketball state championship appearances from 2010-2014.
Brian and his wife, Jessica, have been married for 15+ years and have two daughters, Samantha and Alyssa. In his spare time, Brian enjoys boating, golfing and spending time with family and friends.
