New and Returning Students

Dallas ISD is proud to offer a number of educational choices for our families. In every grade level, in every geographic area of the city, Dallas schools offer exciting educational programs to prepare students for the future. Whether you are searching for full-day prekindergarten, a single-gender school, career and technical education programs or an early college high school, we believe the opportunities we offer make Dallas ISD the school district of choice for Dallas families. We encourage you to research the schools in our district and select the one that best fits the needs of your child

BEGINNING YOUR SCHOOL SEARCH

Step 1

CONSIDER YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD SCHOOL

When researching school options, start with the schools in your neighborhood. Our neighborhood schools are deeply rooted in Dallas tradition and history and offer well-rounded academic offerings, fine arts and sports programs. To find your neighborhood school, visit  our interactive school search site at www.dallasisd.org/findyourschool.

Step 2

CONSIDER A  SCHOOL OR PROGRAM OF CHOICE

Whether you are looking for a Montessori campus, two-way dual language program or a leadership school for your child, Dallas ISD offers a number of schools and programs of choice. Visit www.dallasisd.org/yourchoices to find a comprehensive listing of the district’s offerings. These programs are available at various schools throughout the district.

Step 3

SCHEDULE A CAMPUS VISIT

After researching the various campuses, schedule a visit with the campus that has captured your interest. Contact the school directly to schedule a tour, meet the principal, and visit classrooms.

Step 4

PREPARE FOR ENROLLMENT

Once you have selected a campus for your child, follow the steps to enroll by visiting Enrollment Information or by visiting your closest ONE (enrollment) Center.
