Students remain enrolled at their home high school while attending a Career Institute to gain specialized training in high-demand fields. The Texas Core Curriculum is a foundational set of general education college classes, covering topics like English, Math, Science, and History, that all public colleges and universities in Texas require for a bachelor's degree. Through our partnership with Dallas College, Dallas ISD students can take these dual credit courses during high school, earning both high school and transferable college credit at the same time. Please Note: The list below represents a sample of possible core courses offered across the district. Course availability varies by campus and program, so students should check with their school counselor to see which specific classes are offered at their high school.

Dallas ISD offers a variety of dual credit pathways, including Early College High Schools (ECHS), P-TECH, Collegiate Academies, and comprehensive dual credit. Many of these programs are designed to align with career fields such as Health Sciences, Business, Engineering, Education, and Law, as well as general Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degree tracks. This list of programs provides a sample of available dual credit programs and general course offerings provided across participating high school campuses. Because program offerings can evolve, students and families are encouraged to reach out directly to individual campuses for specific program details and current pathway availability.

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Pathway offers students a rigorous, globally recognized educational experience that develops critical thinking, inquiry, and real-world problem-solving skills. Beginning with the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and continuing through the Diploma Programme (DP), students engage in a challenging curriculum designed to foster academic excellence, personal growth, and international-mindedness. Through a balanced course of study, IB students are prepared for success in college, careers, and an increasingly interconnected world.
