Dallas ISD Educational Technology manages the district’s Printers and Copiers Program for campus and central staff. This webpage provides information on print job requests, copier access and relocations, user guides, and best practices.

Dallas ISD copiers are leased through our vendor, Knight Enterprises. All service requests or supply questions should be directed to the vendor. Find contact information in the Support section below.

Print Job Requests

Copier Badges

Copier Access Badges

Copier access badges assigned to you from previous school years will continue to work if you receive new equipment. If you are a new employee or were issued a new badge, follow the Badge Registration instructions to register at the copier.

If a new card with the same card number is accidentally assigned as a security badge to another user, it can cause an overlap. To resolve this issue, email the card number, and the FULL names of both the card holder, and the name populating on the screen to the EdTech Department at copierinfo@dallasisd.org.

To order additional blank cards, please complete the Copier Badge Order Form and attach the completed form to your internal requisition. If your building is secure access, these badge requests must go through Dallas ISD Police/Security.

Copier Move Requests

Dallas ISD is PROHIBITED from moving any Fleet Copier equipment.

Please do not to move or relocate the Xerox/Ricoh equipment that has been delivered to your department or campus. Move requests should be made to EdTech by sending an email to copierinfo@dallasisd.org with your completed Copier Relocation Form attached to the email.

Moves can take 3-7 business days. If this is an urgent move request, please let us know in the email, so we may expedite your request.

Printer/Copier Best Practices

Excessive opening and closing of the paper cassette drawers create wear and tear that could damage the drawers, sensors, and increase paper jams. Keeping the machine in good condition through proper handling will avoid unexpected maintenance, repair or replacement fees.

All equipment should remain powered on 24/7.
Supplies are auto replenished, and meter reads are automatic as long as machines remain powered ON and stay connected to the network.
Avoid paper jams and service calls by storing paper flat in cool dry areas to prevent humidity spoiling the paper.
Avoid directly spraying or pouring sanitizing liquids on the copier equipment. All cleaning aids should be applied to a cloth and used to gently wipe the machine’s surfaces.
