MealViewer is a platform that allows parents the opportunity to view daily menus, nutrition information, and allergens so that they are aware of what their students are eating.

Register on MealViewer

1. Go to MealViewer or download the mobile app and register for your free account.
2. Create profiles for you and your students and add their schools to view daily menus.
3. Add allergens to your student's profiles to receive custom alerts.
4. Favorite and rate different meal items so students can know when their favorite meal is being served.

How Parents and Students Can Rate School Meals Using MealViewer

Dallas ISD Food and Child Nutrition Services values feedback from our families, and the MealViewer app makes it easy for parents and students to share what they think about our school meals.

Step 1: Select a Menu Item
Start by opening the MealViewer app and selecting your child’s school. From the daily breakfast or lunch menu, tap on a menu item—such as the Egg Croissant Sandwich—to view more details. This screen shows nutrition information, ingredients, and allergens.

Step 2: Rate the Menu Item
Once the item is open, tap the smiley face icon to rate how much your child liked the item. A slider will appear, allowing you to select a rating ranging from “Did not like” to “Loved it!” This quick step helps us understand which menu items students enjoy most.

Step 3: Add Favorites
You’ll also see a star icon on the menu item screen. When you tap the star, the item is saved as a favorite. Favorited items help families easily remember meals their children enjoyed—and they provide valuable feedback to our nutrition team.
