Summer Meals Kick-Off 2026
Free meals, fun activities, and community celebration for the whole family!
Join Dallas ISD Food and Child Nutrition Services as we celebrate the beginning of our free summer meal programs at Albert C. Black Jr. STEAM Academy. This special kickoff event is open to all children and adults, and everyone is welcome to enjoy a day filled with food, entertainment, and community fun.

About the Event
Come out and help us kick off summer with a fun-filled community celebration. This event is a great way to learn more about Dallas ISD’s free summer meal programs while enjoying activities for the whole family. We are proud to partner with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas to bring this event to the community.

Summer Food Program
2026 Summer meals are in when school is out!
Nutritious meals are essential for children to learn, grow, and thrive. The Summer Meal Program provides free meals to children and teens up to age 18, and for enrolled students with disabilities until age 21, at participating Dallas ISD schools.

If you are not enrolled in a participating program, be sure to register at the main office.
Meals must be consumed onsite.

Breakfast and lunch are provided by Dallas ISD Food and Child Nutrition Services in conjunction with the Texas Department of Agriculture through the Summer Food Service Program. Menus are subject to change due to supply.
