New Teacher Academy

The Journey Starts Here with 2025 New Teacher Academy.

Four (4) days are added to your work calendar, which includes:

• Three-day New Teacher Academy July 29-31, 2025, and
• Two additional evening professional development sessions on September 18, 2025, and February 19, 2026. Information on the evening professional development sessions will be available on the Professional & Digital Learning - New Teacher Academy page.

Some campuses under specialized programs may have alternate concurrent training. Teachers should follow the direction of their school administration on which events to attend.

 To ensure a smooth onboarding process, please complete the following: 

• Attend your Hiring Appointment with your Staffing Specialist to finalize your hiring process and receive your Employee ID Number (EID) and District email address. 

  NOTE: Completion of your hiring appointment is required to receive an invitation to New Teacher Academy.

• Confirm that Dallas ISD has your current contact information, including your personal email. All communication prior to your official start date will be sent to this email. 
• To ensure your email is ready for use on July 29, 2025, claim your account before leaving your hiring appointment by logging into Portal.DallasISD.org and opening the Outlook app.
• Add NewTeachers@DallasISD.org to your safe senders list. As a best practice, check your email daily. 
• Expect emails from NewTeachers@DallasISD.org containing important action items such as: 
  • Registering for New Teacher Academy
  • Signing up for a laptop pick-up appointment
• Frequently visit this New Teacher Academy webpage for updates, including:
  • Upcoming important dates and times
  • New Teacher Academy registration information
  • Helpful new teacher resources
• Mark your calendar with the 2025 New Teacher Academy dates and locations
