Select schools from the "Available campuses for observation" list to consider for observation hours. In addition, select Human Capital Management* when completing the application.

• Be-sure to e-sign your application
• Consent to the background check
• Volunteers must be cleared via background check annually. It can take up to 3 days before a background check is completed.
• Check your Spam inbox for your clearance email if it’s been longer than 72 hours.

Please complete this survey for Dallas ISD to capture your information during the student observation stage.

Once you receive notification that your background check has been approved, you can begin contacting the schools you selected in the VOLY application. Use the email provided on the spreadsheet to reach out to the teacher observation coordinator at the school.

• Send an email to the campus contact person
• Let them know you have been approved in VOLY and that you selected their school
• Share what type of observations you seek
• Ask for a time to begin your observations
• Request a call back or follow up with a call to the campus if you do not hear back in 24 hours.
