Distinguished Teacher Review
Through the Distinguished Teacher Review Process, Dallas ISD recognizes teachers who demonstrate leadership, pursue learning opportunities, contribute to the profession of education, and promote academic excellence. Distinguished teachers earn an effectiveness level of Proficient II or higher. The DTR Workshop Part 1
This workshop details how to be successful in writing a DTR application. Participants will deep dive into the DTR Rubric and analyze application samples for understanding how to write a successful application
The DTR Workshop Part 2
This workshop takes participants through writing a draft of their DTR Application. Each participant will write one experience for each domain: Leadership, Lifelong Learning, and Contributions to the Profession. Participants will collaborate on drafts and revisions with the support of TEI and/or DTR Ambassadors.
Using the DTR Rubric as a Growth Tool
Using the DTR Rubric as a Growth Tool walks teachers through the reflective process and using the DTR Rubric to identify areas of growth and to use the problem solving cycle to develop experiences for the DTR process that will also enhance individual goals. Teachers will begin the process of building a professional portfolio and determine next steps for significant outcomes.
Maximizing Your Student Growth
Maximizing Your Student Growth is a session developed in conjunction with the Dallas ISD Data Team that answers two questions: what does "significant" mean on the DTR Rubric and how can teachers use the DTR Rubric to plan for collecting evidence. The session discusses valid and reliable measurements to use in determining whether outcomes are significant and how to use the problem-solving cycle to create an action plan for collecting and analyzing appropriate data that can accurately measure outcomes for significance.
