Juan Cedillo

Interim Assistant Chief of Police Juan M. Cedillo is a certified Master Peace Officer and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Criminal Justice. Cedillo has been with the Dallas ISD Police Department for 22 years. In 2001, he started as a security officer at Village Fair Alternative School. In 2002, he was sworn-in as a police officer and assigned to the patrol division. As he progressed, Cedillo was reassigned to the Campus Services Division as a School Resource Officer and concurrently served on the Gang Unit. In 2012, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, where he supervised the Campus Division and the Gang Unit. In 2015, Cedillo was reassigned to the Criminal Investigations Division. During his time in CID, he investigated several high profile cases. In March 2017, Cedillo was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, where he is currently assigned to Field Operations. Cedillo is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all uniformed police officers and security officers. Cedillo is the proud father of two children. In his numerous years of service to the district, Interim Asst. Chief Cedillo has been very involved in the community with a particular focus on at-risk juveniles and gangs. |
